Design Interactive is excited to participate in the STEMulation Expo, hosted by Orange Technical College, on February 26, 2016.
It will take place at the Mid Florida campus at 2900 W Oak Ridge Rd, Orlando, FL 32809 from 8:30am - 2:30pm. This event includes interactive activities such as STEM guest speakers, robotics demonstration, gaming interactive tours, motion capture experiences, virtual field trips, and door prizes, in addition to booths demonstrating exciting STEM-related technologies.
Design Interactive will be demonstrating the Auto-Diagnostic Adaptive Precision Training for Myoelectric Prosthesis users (ADAPT-MP) system, an interactive, game-based training tool, in which electromyography (EMG) signals are sent from the muscles in the forearm via a Myo Gesture Control Armband from Thalmic Labs to control interactions in a series of mobile games. The games utilize the same inputs that are required for control of an upper limb myoelectric prosthesis and serve to strengthen underlying musculature, teach muscle isolation, contraction, and series of contractions for amputees through the fun mobile games that run on devices the trainees already own. Participants at the STEMulation Expo will be able to try out the games with the Myo Armband, ultimately using their muscles to play mobile games!
Join Design Interactive at Booth 25 of the STEMulation Expo for a unique, fun mobile gaming experience.
