DI’s Winslow to Present on Cybersickness at AWE

May 17th, 2017

DI’s Chief Scientist, Dr. Brent Winslow, is scheduled to present at the Augmented World Expo (AWE) in Santa Clara, California at the end of the month. Dr. Winslow will be discussing the causes of cybersickness and how to design content to mitigate it. Cybersickness is one of the leading inhibitors of Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality (VAMR) adoption as approximately 80-95% of those exposed to it report symptoms post-exposure, ranging from a headache to even vomiting or intense vertigo.

AWE is the world’s largest conference and expo dedicated to VAMR technologies, bringing together a mix of people ranging from C-level executives, designers, developers and many more to highlight speakers, startups and organizations that are using VAMR to drive economic growth and change the world. The event features over 5,000 attendees, 250 speakers and 200 exhibitors.
