Save a Life in Mixed Reality at IITSEC 2015

November 24, 2015

Ever stood at the precipice of a seemingly bottomless void? In a snowstorm? With the power of mixed reality you can! Join Design Interactive, booth 621, at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) and be transported to a mountain top, joining a team of pararescuemen as they attempt to repel a 1,000 foot rock face to save a fallen teammate.

Design Interactive will be demonstrating the power of mixed reality, using Canon’s MREAL mixed reality platform, the only virtual medium that can provide a full sensory experience. Be immersed in a virtual world but interact with real people, the environment and the real tools needed to do the job.

Also on display at I/ITSEC will be the Training Management System or TMS. DI has developed a domain agnostic software system capable of capturing and visualizing performance when using the MREAL platform to train personnel. Unlike other training systems, the TMS has been designed with training for high risk situations in mind, automatically capturing performance metrics with an eye on military and industrial applications.
