Augmented Reality Diagnosis and Repair Pilot Program for Transportation Industry
After a successful launch at the Technology and Maintenance Council exhibition this March in Atlanta, Design Interactive will be offering a pilot program to help organizations evaluate AUGMENTOR™ and its fit within their organizations. The program is designed to allow stakeholders in the transportation industry (OEMs, Vendors, Fleets, Dealers, etc) to evaluate how successful AUGMENTOR™ can be as part of fleet maintenance operations and employee training. Pilot programs are an inexpensive way to evaluate a new technology, allowing an organization to learn and rapidly iterate and refine a technology before full adoption with no long term financial or resource commitments. Augmented Reality is now commonplace in today’s world, with the next generation of technicians growing up with it in their phones and being exposed to it in schools. The thought of adoption for an enterprise may seem daunting, so DI’s pilot program offers organizations an opportunity to work through the challenges in a cost-effective way.
AUGMENTOR™ is an augmented reality troubleshooting application that guides a technician through the diagnostic process and helps them efficiently select the most effective repair. Experts including Master Technicians, maintenance leadership and learning and development managers can author content and share it across the enterprise such that all technicians can consume the content in a standardized manner.
The pilot program will offer opportunity to evaluate the technology, understand the value to the organization and identify key risks or barriers to adoption at a low cost without any long term license or subscription commitment. DI will provide subject matter expertise to assist adopters throughout the implementation process.
Pilots often set the tone for how an initiative will be received across the organization. A pilot gives an opportunity for positive and negative aspects of technology adoption to be communicated to the organization, giving stakeholders an opportunity to accurately measure the ROI associated with investing in AUGMENTOR™.
