DI Hosting Cybersickness Happy Hour
Virtual Reality (VR) has been one of the trending tech trends over the last few years and with the market size expected to reach around $12B this year, adoption is happening now. Consumers, businesses and military organizations are excited about the opportunities that immersive virtual environments provide, whether it be for entertainment or training purposes. However, a major hurdle that inhibits adoption is cybersickness with more than 75% of users experiencing some degree of discomfort or illness associated with head-worn VR use.
Design Interactive, with more than 20 years of experience of research in this arena, will be hosting a Cybersickness Happy Hour for stakeholders across research, industry and the military at the DI office on March 22nd. The discussion will be led by President and CEO Dr. Kay Stanney, who will share recent research findings regarding cybersickness frequency, intensity, causes, and gender variances, and provide actionable guidance to assess and mitigate cybersickness.
